You might want to take a look at this (https://www.brown.edu/about/administration/institutional-research/factbook/undergraduate-admission-and-financial-aid).
My take is that more financial aid is going to middle class since total financial aids amount is increasing while the number of full ride students is decreasing.
There are more tabs from the factbook. You can see how many students from your state, from your country, etc. So many countries only have one or two students and only one student from Arkansas. :-/
And 0 from North Dakota and Wyoming!
I’m still kicking myself for not transferring to North Dakota for a year. We actually have an office there. Probably will do for S#2.
They never had anyone from my country, not even in graduate school.
Are you sure? Students are from more than 115 countries. Most countries only have one or two per year.

That is 2 matriculated in 2016 from Nevada. 6 in 2015. 5 in 2014. Based on yield, about twice the number of students admitted. Actually for Nevada, the number is similar to Yale’s … https://oir.yale.edu/sites/default/files/w026_fresh_bystate.pdf
it’s very difficult for students in my country to fulfill almost any of the requirements.You have to be super rich to do so or live somewhere else.
Just out of curiosity, anyone had an interview in the last two weeks (last minute)? You can PM me to let me know if you don’t want to go public with it. (you should be very proud if you did have one) It is interesting to look at Brown’s admissions big data. In case you have not seen it before, last day of February would be a good day to see it for the first time. (that is what I thought) Once you are accepted (hopefully), you can see other sections like “Surveys” to see how happy people are there. (Yes, less than 1/10 are not terribly happy, even at Brown. ) :-/ (much better than Yale/Princeton where half of students are either depressed or need to seek mental help … I did not say it myself … just quoting.)
@TheOldTimer
I had my Brown interview on the 25th (I was contacted the 20th) why should I be very proud???
Just received a likely letter in the mail! It was dated February 22nd.
Congrats @MaybeHarvard2022
Regular envelope?
You are in TX correct?
@MaybeHarvard2022 congrats! Would you chose Brown over Harvard though?
@Volunteerism yes and it came in a regular envelope.
@applicant1313 it will depend on a variety of factors, but I’ll choose where I fit in best.
