Given the possibility of getting acceptance from other T10s for those that get accepted at Brown, does anyone have the historic RD yield rate of Brown and T10s?
I donât understand the premise or the question.
Question appears to be if the incoming class size were to be 100, how many admit offers would Brown extend? Looks like for the year 2019-20, 1662 (out of 2733 admits) enrolled implying an yield of ~61%. Not sure about the breakdown between ED & RD though.
i think the yield rate for RD can be calculated bc ED yield rate will be almost, if not 100%
Letâs say Brown recruited 25% of 1662 through ED. Then they must have enrolled about 1250 in RD and the # of admits can be derived if the # of ED applications were to be known. In any case, 127 were enrolled through waitlist for the class of 2024 and this year it could be higher if they were to go by prior yearâs yield rate due to increase in # of applicants.
does anyone know if having a sibling (currently) at Brown alters your chances? My sister goes there and she has a couple friends whose younger siblings also got in
maybe coincidentally?
Brown received 46,568 applications for the class of 2025, a 27 percent increase over last year that makes this the largest application pool in the Universityâs history. Brown will make 1,652 Regular Decision offers of admission to the incoming class of 2025, in addition to the 885 Early Decision admission offers made in December. The overall admit rate for this yearâs pool is 5.4 percent, with a Regular Decision admit rate of 3.5 percent.
Thatâs terrifying. Not expecting anything from Ivy Day, but already very pleasantly surprised and content with my options! Good luck everyone - weâll all end up where we are meant to be!
Thank you for this information.
Honestly, the overall admit rate is only 1 percent lower than it has been in past years.
Last year overall rate was 9% per google.
possibly yes! I think that may have been because of accepting more people due to COVID but I am not sure.
Overall, I just feel like there are so many incredible applicants that chances were already slim to none before so even with more applicants and a lower acceptance rate there is like no difference.
right. also just because there are more applicants doesnât mean there are more qualified applicants. I wouldnât worry about it
All of these are fair points. It is really hard to determine whether or not this applicant pool is going to be more competitive this year. Not worth stressing over now anyway.
does anyone else not have the banner services financial aid link on their portal anymore?
mine is gone
Is there anybody for those this F. Aid not gone?
gone for me too
all check list are gone
suddenly it is not making me log in to my portal? I click on my bookmarked tab for the brown applicant portal and it doesnât take me to the login page - just straight to the portal. Is this happening for anyone else
