Brown, Cornell, Notre Dame

Hello all.

Ok so I was rejected ED from Cornell CAS (sigh) so I was wondering if it would be pointless to apply to Brown RD. I honestly thought from all I had researched that my grades and scores were in range for Cornell (not Harvard/Yale level but in range). Is Brown significantly harder to get into than Cornell or are they about the same? Is Notre Dame easier than Brown? I have to limit the number of apps I submit and I was wondering if I should apply to Notre Dame but not Brown.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

By acceptance rate alone, Brown is more difficult to get into than Cornell or Notre Dame. If you have to choose between Notre Dame and Brown and you want to secure an acceptance, I would apply to Notre Dame.

These schools are notoriously hard to predict. Kids who are accepted by Harvard are denied by Yale and vice versa. Kids accepted by Brown don’t get into Cornell and vice versa. You can’t base one outcome on the other.
