<p>Last year does everyone get their decision right before April 1? When did they get them? I only ask because I am going to be gone after the 30th and I really really want to open the letter before I go. Thanks!!</p>

<p>Brotherlylove, I’m pretty sure Brown mails out letters (I got my deferral in the mail as well) but quite a few colleges only mail something if you get accepted or waitlisted.</p>

<p>Does this imply they send you an email to relay your admissions decision? Or does the email provide a link to their server which will then tell you your decision.</p>
<p>Zulatooka: sorry, my fault. There is no email. You just log onto the website at/after 5 PM EST and the decisions should be up. There’s a link you click which brings you to a PDF of your letter, basically. If you guys haven’t logged onto the website, do it now so you know all of your information works.</p>
<p>Fun fact: if you’re accepted, I believe the login name they give you for applications becomes your permanent login name. At least mine did.</p>
<p>@brotherlylove: they sent me an email telling me to check online for my admission decision to brown. in the same email they said they would not be mailing letters, which strikes me as a little strange.</p>

<p>Hahvad: none of us know, but I would assume that your decision won’t be up until 7. You can check earlier, but know that you’ll be slowing down the server for the people whose decisions are actually going to be up at 5. Your call.</p>

<p>Some people think that the times were assigned by region. At any rate, I’m about 100% sure that it is an effort to avoid a server crash.</p>
<p>I’m irrationally afraid that they assigned times with some consideration of peoples’ admission decision 
mine says to check at 7 EST, and since that’s the last time, I am worried it’s like a “rejections go out in the last wave” sort of thing -__-</p>
