Brown ED Chances! I chance back!

I honestly think you have a great chance of getting in. My sister was accepted with similar, maybe a little worse statistics than you. Good luck

i would say a pretty solid shot at brown, 32 ACT i pretty solid, got some hooks with legacy i would say a ~65-75% shot mayb more, but who knows with these top schools nothing is for certain but you have a real good shot i think

Very impressive…25+ products?! That’s pretty cool. Ivies have a tendency to jump at “individuals” like yourself, so I’d say that aspect will be a big plus. And clearly, your numbers line up very well with Brown. I’d be surprised if you weren’t admitted, you seem to have the basic criteria down solid, and even the “niche” stuff, like clarinet and the combination of science and languages. Best of luck to you!

@rikrox4: Thanks; I hope ur sister is doing well wherever she chose to go! I hope I have the same luck ;)

@biganthony: Thanks bro! I hope my chances are that good, the wait is killing me

@nelly29: Thanks haha  I didn’t mentio the 25+ just because it seemed really unrealistic. Like my college counselor had a hard time believing that I invented so much and had a massive car design portfolio. I just mentioned that I do car designs for fun and I had 3 provisional patents. Best of luck to you too  Hope BC works out!

I think you’ve really got a great chance
Good luck to you!

You have an amazing chance of getting accepted. Although your test scores aren’t the best, you more than compensate with incredible ECs and hooks. Best of luck!

Thanks for your feedback. Looking at your qualifications, Brown would be foolish not to accept you.

Good Luck!

whoa your ECs are mindblowing. based on those alone, your chances are high. The 32 ACT isn’t incredible, but well your ECs and GPA are. Enjoy Brown! (and if you’re a guy i’m very jealous you will be around Emma Watson… fittie if i ever saw one)

chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1039850-chance-nervous-senior.html

I would be shocked if you weren’t accepted, honestly. You have the passion, the ECs, and the legacy factor. Your GPA and ACT are good, could be better, but still you have much more that compensates for that fact.

Good luck! One of my best friends is also ED at Brown.

If it weren’t Ivy, I would say in. But because it’s Ivy, I would have to just go with you have a highly likely shot of getting in; you’re a great match. EC’s are awesome.

@shnethog: Thanks, I hope so!

@GoldOwl: I really hope those ECs shine through…like no joke

@freshman1: Thanks for chancing back! I hope they have your mindset lol.

@forzorn: I am a guy hehehe, plus her ex-bf was an engineering major… ;)

@tejasfemale: That’s awesome! Good luck to you too  I appreciate you chancing back, and I really hope they like my resume as much as you do haha

@davidr721: That’s what’s worrying me-the unpredicatability lol. Thanks for your kind remarks!

If your school doesn’t rank, and colleges don’t know that you’re in the top 3, why are you mentioning it here?
Also, did you have enough space in your app to explain your activities in as much depth as you did here?

thanks for chancing me!
i THINK i’ve already chanced you but i could be wrong

need i even say it ;), you have a great shot at getting into brown early. great awards, gpa, rank. good test scores. semi-hook
a much better chance than most. i think that you have around a 70-80% chance of getting in. good luck!! =)

My school rec letters put my academic performance into context of my school, and I thought that I should add this tidbit here. Additionally, what did it hurt to let that be known? Of all the things to focus on lol, you chose my rank to discuss? ;)

Also, my ECs were explained more in-depth than they were posted here. They know all that I have decided to include, and I gave clear details of what I accomplished. Thanks for your input!

@diemking: I think you might have chanced somebody else for Brown lol, CCers all have such similar stats that it’s sometimes hard to discern between us. I appreciate your input though  I really hope it all works out for both of us!

You have a very high chance of making it.

More specifically,
Your ACT is kind of low but the things that you have done over your high school career is phenomenal. Plus you have legacy which will give you an extra boost.

I will very surprised if you do not make it in  Good luck!

@SATdestroyer-Thanks so much for chancing back really quickly. I honestly think you’re gonna get into a bunch of schools on your list, but I listed reach/high reach just because it’s so random these days that I couldn’t peg where I think you’ll get in. You seem really determined and focused, and I know that at any college you attend, you will accomplish big things  I wish you the best of luck! BME buddies haha

Legacy at brown will definitely help you out. Ivies are always a toughie because a lot of my friends are top notch… it’s things like the essay that give you that extra umph. You have the qualifications, it’s if your essay makes them want to take you, and I hope that they do!

:)

Haha thanks, big dreamer! I didn’t think your chancing was harsh at all because I did look at Columbia ED results for this year and was astonished by how much of a blood bath it was. I’ll just have to keep my fingers crossed. And yes, BME buddies! ^_^

really good shot

Damn…you’re getting in for sure
