You seem very qualified!
ACT is a little low but your great e/c (especially your patents) and obviously being a legacy help you out a lot
Even with Brown being difficult you still have a very good chance.

Your GPA is excellent, and although your ACT’s a bit low, your ECs, Legacy, and ED boost give you a very good chance. Make sure you write thoughtful, vivid essays.

one of my friends has a sister who was accepted to brown which a much less qualified resume (ED without legacy) and she was admitted. you are definitely in the running, and i think you have a good chance at it. admittedly, you can never really know with ivies, but you should be confident.

great ECs (those patents make your app amazing), good grades/scores and legacy? i’d put Brown at a high match for you- and thats just because they are very unpredictable.

the ACT Is not going to hurt. I have no idea why anyone would ever say that. 32 is amazing. You have great stats. For people who say that they actually think a 32 is bad, something is wrong with them. You are an outstanding applicant!

Very good chances. I was told in one of their information sessions that the legacy acceptance rate is around 50%, not sure how accurate that was, but ifit is true, I’m sure you’re more qualified than the other 50% and probably even 95%+ of legacy students applying

the only thing even remotely lacking is your act. other than that your stats are excellent, you did ED, and you have a legacy so i wouldnt be worried in the least.

Thanks jake8888, greenpurple, ipster76, viciousdirt, CommonIntuition, Jakeofftocollege, mumurthigal, and Annetaylor124 for your input. Hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving week! :)

good grades, legacy, well-rounded, decent test scores…I’d say you have a great shot. It’s tough to chance places like brown, but provided your essays and recs are solid I’d say you have a really good shot of getting in. Best of luck!
