Can’t wait for brown to mail the decisions tomorrow… How will you celebrate If you get in?

CellistX: The difference here is that the status wasn’t changed, it was added.

Also, I’m not freaking out, I was just curious as to if anyone knew if there was a difference between status being changed to spring and spring status being added. I figured this thread has collectively logged an awful lot of time talking to the admissions office and doing research, so someone might have known.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being nervous and asking questions so long as they’re rational. We’re all anxious.

I can still log in to check me status. Can anyone else?

I can still log in. :)

uh huh!! !

I just called the Admissions Office, but they won’t tell me the result… :(

so are we thinking that if we can still log on there isn’t much hope for us?

Well, I’m someone who’s definitely not getting in. I can still log in. So there’s some evidence.

The spring notification sounds plausible, the login thing does not… why would they delete the accounts of those getting in…?

I can still log in - unfortunately I don’t think it’s significant.

How is the ability to log in, at all, related to a rejection? I’m failing to see the logic here.

Earlier, Blankwater stated that the admissions office told him that MOST people could not log on because admissions decisions are being sent. How does that indicate that those who CAN still log on are rejected? MOST people who applied to Brown will be rejected, and if MOST people cannot log on, then shouldn’t the suspected correlation be reversed?

Regardless, I don’t think either has any relation to our decisions. We’ll know when the letter comes in. This is all paranoid speculation.

I can still log in but i dont think that means anything significant. On the other hand, the spring status change probably means you guys are accepted for that semester… I’m so jealous of you guys, congrats!

I think if you get in for spring, you are not required to spend the fall sem. at your current institution. That especially applies for junior transfers, I believe but I think with sophomores you are given more of a choice.

Anyway I am so nervous to find out my decision, I would really like to call but judging from what others have posted it seems like you cant get your decision without showing that you have a deadline for another school. Which i dont have because ive been rejected everywhere else.

I’m freaking out, i dont know if i can hold it together till friday.

What joeysosa says makes sense. If the people who couldn’t log in were all rejected and the people who could log in were accepted, they would just tell people to log into their online accounts instead of sending decisions through mail. The fact that they are sending ALL decisions via snail mail pretty much confirms that it is a glitch.

letters are being sent out tmw morning! lets stop speculating on computer glitches and maybeeee try and get to know eachother? If I get in to Brown (which isn’t gonna happen, let’s face it, its crazy hard) I’d be a theater studies double major with english (concentration in gender and sexuality) and hopefully a psychology minor. What about you all?

I wonder how long it will take to get to WA. Probably not until next Tuesday-Thursday. =/

I applied for Applied Math-Econ. Anyone else?

Physics most likely, but I love their writing concentration, and you don’t have to be an English major to do it!

thegoldfinch- the girl in the office today told me u can start calling on the 14th for your decisions.

Im tired of waiting. I just want to know. Not out of curiosity or whatever. Just so I can move on with my life if Brown doesn’t work out

If they already have all the decisions, why don’t they send them out, instead of leaving us on this cliffhanger?

i can only start calling about my decision on the 14th?!..heck…i’m leaving the country on 13th…i really don’t feel like spending money to make international calls…
