Brown isn't mailing letters out this year?

So hypothetically if I was accepted I wouldn’t recieved a nice acceptance package. Are they kidding that is the best part!

wait what?!?! where did you hear about this?

In the email they sent us a week ago about the online checking it says underneath that decisions will not be mailed out this year!

Brown has a billion dollars. The least they could do is if some is accepted is make a pretty acceptance package ivy league worthy

I’m sure they are sending out th packages with all the forms and admissions
letter for those accepted;
but for those who aren’t, there no point sending out rejection letters.
that’s a waste of paper!

I haven’t seen the email you’re referring to, but I would imagine that it means that decisions themselves are not being mailed. This doesn’t preclude sending a package with information and a congratulations on your acceptance. I also sense that you may be presenting this in a tongue-in-cheek manner, given the “Ivy League worthy” comment.

Lol well they best be sending a pretty damn good package with embossed seals and coat of arms etc if some people have been waiting for this for years.

I’m not expecting it, I’m just curious

I was also surprised by the email. Here is an excerpt:
“Please note that we will not be mailing decision letters. To access the online service, you will need the username and passkey emailed to you earlier this year by the Office of College Admission, not the PIN and password you received if you applied online. Please follow these steps to ensure that you can successfully log in:”
If I get in, hopefully I will be in too much ecstasy to worry about an acceptance package for a little while.

What I’ve been told, as an interviewer, is that, “All applicants can access their decision online and only admitted students will also receive a letter by mail.”

I would assume that they will be sending an acceptance packet to accepted students with information about ADOCH, etc, and possibly some kind of communication to waitlisted students as well. They just won’t be wasting paper by sending a formal rejection letter to every student who isn’t admitted or waitlisted.

trust me: to the admitees, they’ll be sending all sorts of stuff. They want you to matriculate. You can bet they will lay it on hard.

OP misunderstood the email about decisions. What bruno says in #9 is correct.

I think we are all putting the cart in front of the horse. Just wait till tomorrow. Best of luck to everyone!
