Is it a BIG envelope?

Come December 15, should one expect the traditional big envelope for yes and a small one for no? Or does a yes come in a small envelope too? Asking people who’ve been through this…

I second this, although I'm RD.

Check online. That'll happen before you get an envelope in the mail.

That said, I think my acceptance thing came in a big packet (a folder with a letter, lots of pamphlets, papers, etc). That was RD, though.

I was thinking about that, too. but considering we can check things online, things are much easier :)

it's not as exciting though

yup..... but then consider your Internet provider might have some problems just then :p (I wouldn't want that to happen to anyone...especially ME!)

that happened to me the morning i checked my SAT scores. for some odd reason, i didnt have internet access!

Are decisions mailed on December 15, or are they sent prior so that we receive them on December 15?

Last year the Brown ED results were online at 5pm on Friday, Dec. 10th. (Maybe this year it will be on Friday, Dec. 9th...?) Also last year, the RD results were online at 5pm on March 31.

In any event, the notification date will be specified at some point ahead of time on the Brown admission website.

Good luck to all!

During last year's early cycle all letters (acceptances, rejections and deferrals) were mailed out in the same small envelopes. This was apparent from the comments made by people receiving examples of each on this board.

But only the early-cycle ones, if I remember correctly.

Another question, how updated are your "Check your status" accounts? They still haven't said that they received some of my forms.

everything for me is received except both teacher recs and transcript. So i pretty much only have half the application in.

I don't know if the envelope will be big........but something of mine most certainly is.....

.......my self-doubt

Elephants are big too, just so you know.

According to "My Status" page, everything has been received.

do you only get a 'check your status' account if you apply online? or is there a way for us paper-app people to check too?

I don't know. They sent me my password and user name about a week and a half after I submitted the application online.

no one has answered the original question, does the answer come in a big or small envelope?

who cares, just as long as there's an acceptance letter
