I applied for the brown precollege summer program, just because it seemed like a fun experience, that can help me to better know what I want to do in the future for majors so I can more accurately pick a college with a good department in that. Well I was accepted a while ago, but I can’t go without a scholarship. I also applied for the scholarship, and was wait listed for it. I was notified of this a few weeks after I put in my scholarship application, and also a few weeks before the deadline to apply for the scholarship. Is there still any chance that I could get the scholarship?

Someone answer me please!

Remember me? I’m in the same boat as you.

What I ended up doing was paying for the deposit. So you could pay the $300 if you want and you will remain on the financial aid waitlist. However, if you don’t end up getting it, your $300 would be gone because it is non-refundable.

OR you could wait until you hear back from Brown. However, this would mean that the number of possible classes to enroll in would be limited. The class that you would want to take might be filled up. I don’t believe any classes are full right now, though.

Haha ya, thanks. And I thought that you would only stay in the system for the scholarship if you didn’t pay that? But no matter, I can’t afford to pay it if I’m not sure I can go. Also I doubt the class I want to take will fill up soon, if ever. And, so you haven’t herd back from them yet? I tried to email the scholarship department, but a friend of my moms who teaches at brown said that they are very disorganized, so I’m not sure if that was it, or if I didn’t hear back from them because their emails to me don’t always go through. The email notifying me of being wait listed for the scholarship only went to my mom even though it said it was sent to me too, it didnt go to my spam or anything. I just never got it.
