Brown SATII Question - Really Worried Now

SO… I took the SATIIs this weekend and I’m certain I didn’t score over a 700 (haha far from it!) on the Chemistry one. I am also certain I got an 800 on the Math2, at worst it was a 790. In June I took Bio-M and Literature and scored 740 and 750, respectively. The SOLE reason I took the SATII Chemistry is for Boston University’s Accelerated Program in Liberal Medical Education. I have no AP Chemistry experience, and my honors Chemistry class was taken 2 years ago and taught by a horrible, horrible teacher. So naturally my only source of preparation was the … well, SATII Chemistry prep books.

I’m applying RD to Brown and PLME but I would also LOVE to go to Brown even if I was admitted into the PLME program. My other stats are very very strong (SAT1 2350, UW GPA 4.0, WGPA 4.78, tough classes and good AP Scores) and my essays are going to be amazing (at least, the main college one already is, and I’ll start the PLME ones eventually) along with my recs.

LONG STORY SHORT!!!

This isn’t a chances thread, but will brown even CONSIDER the SATII chemistry or do they just ONLY look at the top 2 or 3 SATII exam scores I have? Will it seriously hurt my chances?

exhale

An extra SAT 2 exam can only help your chances (unless it is a required/important test for the school, and you really blow it) (like getting a 500 math for caltech)
Especially if you at least get an above 50% percentile

Thanks, anybody else?

They may look at it for PLME but seeing as you've got the bio one, if the chem isnt as good i don't think they'll worry much about it. you'll probably do well enough on it for it not to be a liability anyway. I took the chem one twice and didn't do particularly well on either and got into plme.... so yeah dont worry about it.

Agreed with other two posters. Besides, it shows you're human and not some robot.

WOOOHOO FOR HUMANITY.

Along with being hit on by a random guy on the bus (note, I am a fairly straight male) today has taken a turn for the way better.

oh yeah, apple pie with bourbon helped too drools

it's times like these that i'm glad i took the ACT ;)

But srsly, your SAT II Bio looks very good and your SAT I is obviously very good, but it's mostly about your essays and ECs though for PLME since they get so many near perfect SATs.

Dude, stop worrying. All your scores are amazing. Brown requires 2 SAT II's ONLY! and you have 3 that are over 750. And chem which isnt probably under 600. Brown arent going to reject you cause you did bad on chem.

Chill out! They'll see on your transcript that you haven't taken AP chem, so no worries. Your other stats are fine.

What do you define as FAIRLY straight?

Interested in humans of the female variety yet eccentric and unpredictable (and flirty) enough to keep you guessing.

My ECs are ... not really strictly related to medicine (never shadowed a doctor/volunteered in a hospital). Closest I come is the ~1400 hours I'm putting into my research at NIH this year doing organic/radiochem stuff to detect alzheimers. Kinda screwed aint I?
