So, I am a competitive athlete (tennis) and was wondering of my chances to get recruited to Brown/be accepted with the huge compensating factor of my sport.
I am currently a junior and these are the classes I plan to take this year.
AP French, AP Biology, AP US History, AP Literature, Pre-Calculus
Sophomore year:
AP European History (4), Film Studies, English 10, Chemistry, French 3, Algebra 2/Precalculus
(Keep in mind that every course my school offers is Honors. We are the top ranked private high school in the country).
GPA: Unweighted- 3.7
Now, for my tennis achievements:
I am currently a tennis coach at a D1 University (although I am only 16, I was asked to coach teens during the summer). I coach private lessons, play #1 for my varsity team, I am the team captain and have been #1 both years I have been on the team. Every year I have been #2 in my district and have made it to quarterfinals in my state tournament. Although I am not currently in USTA I plan to play tournaments this year. I currently play 10 hours of tennis per week, and 50 during the summer.
