Brown University Chances?

Hello! I am new to this website and figured I would ask strangers about my chances for getting into Brown University. I understand this is a trivial and meager way to formulate my chances for getting into a school, but I would just like some opinions. I am open to constructive criticism and I will appreciate any response.
Brown is my dream school, but I fully realize it is extremely difficult to be accepted in to. Initially my grades are far from the normal, but I do have a story and justifying reason why that is so. I am willing to Early Decision (binding agreement) the school, plan to play Lacrosse there if it will increase my odds, and I have alumni relatives and connections who attended Brown.

I go to a nationally-ranked, college preparatory high school and it is extremely vigorous and challenging in academics, therefore it is quite difficult to receive exceptional or even average grades. 50% of my class has a GPA in the range of 2.8-3.2. Please note, my school does not give out class ranks. In terms of percentile though, I fall in the 10-15% .

General:
-Junior in high school
-Female, minority

Academics:
*As a preface to this I feel I should inform any reader that I suffered from an extremely severe and damaging eating disorder and clinical depression my first year and a half of high school (Freshman-Second Semester Sophomore) and it definitely reflects in my grades. Through intense recovery over the course of months predominately December of my sophomore year, and additional support of my family and school community I was able to essentially regain my life and I began to really enjoy education and the art of learning.
Freshman year GPAs: 3.1, 3.2
Sophomore year GPAs: 3.4,3.8
Junior year GPAs: 4.1, 4.2 (the second number is anticipated, most likely to occur)
Cumulative GPA is around 3.633

AP and Honors classes:
-AP Comparative Government and Politics
-Honors Latin 3
Honors Greek 2
-Honors Anatomy and Physiology
-AP Statistics
-AP English Literature
-Introduction to Psychology Honors
-AP Latin 4 Vergil
-Honors Greek 3

SAT Score:
-Critical Reading: 740. Math: 640. Writing: 740
Composite: 2120

Extracurricular:
(I am not in an exhausting number of clubs because I feel it is more important to dedicate myself fully to the ones that I am involved in, as opposed to merely being "in" an organization and not doing very much work or providing meaningful insight.)

-Lacrosse 4 years
-Competitive Cheerleading (only 2 years)
-Elected to Student Council as the Senator and Representative of my class
-Girl Scouts
-Volunteering and service is required at my school so I have many instances of such. Including coaching a basketball team for the disabled community, coaching a track team to the special olympics, and church volunteering as well
-AKC Dog-showing
-Choir at school and at my church

Awards:
-National Honor Society
-National Latin Honor Society (plus significant scores and awards on the National Latin Exams)
-Gold Award for Girl Scouts (The highest honor you can receive as a Girl Scout. Completely individual work and planning - I planned a job seminar/workshop for unemployed women in shelters in the Chicago and suburban community. This was able to provide jobs for hundreds of women in Chicago, who previously were either endangered in their home, lacked motivation and leadership skills, or went through a divorce and now were in need of a job.)
-In addition to this Gold Award Project I upkeep a website which raises awareness about the issue of unemployment in today's economy, how people can help, and a list of places looking for employees.

N.b: Writing essays for college applications will certainly not be an issue or detriment to me because I absolutely adore writing and it is one of my key strengths.

This is quite long, but perhaps it was somewhat entertaining for you to hear a stranger ramble on about her future and past academic life. I appreciate anyone who took the time to read and anyone who supplies me with some form of answer. I apologize for any typos or grammatical errors in this "thread." I typed it without proofreading and relatively quick.
Thank you very much!

What race are you? It depends if you are a ORM or URM.

I am not exactly certain on the terms ORM and URM, but I believe I am URM, I am Hispanic. I believe this is an under-represented minority at Brown, however I could of course be incorrect.

URM = under-represented minority, ORM is the opposite.

Brown: Low reach

ED: Reach

Rationale: Top 15% is a little low in terms of class rank; your chances would be greatly increased if you moved up that ladder. 2120 is fine, if a little low (2250+ is generally preferred). Your extracurriculars are solid, but don’t really jump off of the page, which at a school like brown seems to be valued.

However, if you have been in contact with the Brown lax coach and could get recruited for lacrosse, your chances will skyrocket, especially if you are comfortable making the early decision commitment.

I think you’re fine. Especially since you’re minority and your school is difficult, they should understand.
Your strongest points are the website and the seminar, so emphasize that greatly!

I went through the same thing that you did during high school as well except the eating disorder part, but I do think you do have a chance of getting into Brown. To increase your chances of being admitted, I would take a couple of more AP’s in core classes and retake your SAT and did you take the SAT 2 if not take them. Continue being involved in your extra curricular activities and if you had a low GPA prior to your junior year, I would retake some of those classes at a community college because they can cancel your low grades.

thanks for all the help, i deeply appreciate it!
