I’ve got 6 emails on my brown bearsync account. They weren’t there when I logged in in January, but they started showing up after February. Is this a sign? Does anybody have those emails?

brown.edu/bearsync use your portal IDs to log in here. I had messages that read out “dear brown student” and included me in the mailing list with current students at Brown, who I personally know.
I just hope it is a sign that I might have made it. @Anduar3

@Anduar3 its for student organizations, emailing people, your Brown email ID, signing up for student organizations, etc. @fizzy110
If I do the math, there are 6400 students at Brown currently and its been sent out to around 7760 applicants. If we add the class of 2019 to the current undergraduate population, it could mean that we have potentially made it.

@mikegoldstein true. The most recent one from March 2nd includes way more people- a count of approximately 8.5k so maybe post committee stuff happens.
I wonder how I got emails in Feb - committee doesn’t even happen then. Or maybe it could be because I accidentally logged in to my bearsync in Jan instead of the Brown account my email got activated and I get mails.
Not assuming anything right now. Have people who have logged in to BearSync previously had empty inboxes? Only this confirms how legit those emails are and if we should infer stuff like we do from NYU portals. xD
There is nothing in the inbox. OH well.
Perhaps it’s best to waive off speculation and wait for the date; we won’t know anything until we have the decision. That’s one thing that stresses me out about cc, its a great way to interact with people waiting for the same decisions as you, but the volume of speculation surrounding emails, portals etc. really stresses me (and others) out - especially when you don’t receive said email, or said portal notification.
Oh well I’ve chewed off my nails waiting for 31st. Its at 330AM in my TZ and I won’t be able to sleep. I can’t sleep now either because Ive got my exactly 2 weeks to Brown decisions clock ticking…
I blocked CC on chrome because it was a morning routine to open FB/Email/CC subconsciously. I started sleeping better once I got off it but this stuff was like… I had to get onto it from Safari because I was SO curious.
