Guys I got my portal today so any time now 
@jazzdancer2102 I recognise your application from the Barnard portal- as an early decision reject I like going back to the portal as part of my self flagellation process. Anyway- I wish you luck for Barnard- I love the school its a fantastic place. But don’t be disappointed if they reject you, trust me. been there done that- you’re English HL. I screwed up my IOC because I stayed up all night and received my rejection the morning of my IOC.
plus i think our apps are pretty much the same my subjects are really similar to yours. I’m an international female applicant from India too. and I have received my portal, but nothing about an interview.
and i think all of you need to chill out about the number of applicants from your school. doesn’t matter in the least. in my school the colleges with the bulk of applicants had most acceptances. even into schools like Georgia Tech. wish you all the best- hopefully we’re all Brunonians next year- can’t wait to hopefully go back to rhode island.
I saw that there is a supplemental materials section on the application summary. Do you guys think it would be beneficial to include a resume/activities list?
@dhizzy: you already listed your activities and awards on the Common App. No need to include extraneous information.
For those who have received their Brown portals recently: When did you submit your application? I applied on Dec. 30 and still have not received my portal
I think it was around 26th. I only got it yesterday so maybe 5 more days?
i submitted my application on the 24th and only got my portal yesterday
submitted mine on new year’s and haven’t gotten it

I’ve received my interview date but not my portal…hm…
@justinn76 I am waiting a couple more days to see if I get the portal, but I am expecting to get it by Jan. 20th
@stahboy On the website it says to call Admissions if you have not received it by January 29th.
@justinn76 That is completely normal. Interviews are handled by the Alumni Association, not admissions. So it’s all good.
How many of you guys have gotten an interview so far? I know there’s no way Brown can interview us all and that in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter much, but I’m really hoping to get one.
I just had an interview today. It was beyond splendid. We clicked.

Got an interview but no portal as of yet – it’s funny how portal emails come in bursts. Five schools on one day, two weeks and not a word…
Just had my interview this morning (no portal yet though). It was very relaxed; my interviewer brought her dog with her haha. I think it went pretty well, but I guess we’ll see…
I had my interview this morning too! International Applicant here My interviewer was soooo unbelievably nice, she seemed like she really cared about my stuff! We ended up talking about how I played lift tag with other kids in the condo when I was younger (basically like hide-and-seek and the entire condo is our playground and you take lifts and try not to get caught by two catchers) and we also spoke about Brown’s Open Curr, which I said was a fantastic winning point, and we also spoke about Harry Potter
Wow, great to read about all of these interviews that went well!! I was just wondering, what does the interview email look like? Is it directly from the alumni? I’m crossing my fingers I hear something soon!!
