The question is do you see the box to upload supplement in the portal? I heard some people say that it disappeared.
The box is still available for me, so who knows! hmmm…

I received a likely letter from Brown, but was rejected at WashU & Northwestern, & waitlisted at UChicago (my dream school) this week. Just a reminder that the whole admissions process is essentially a gamble & it doesn’t at all determine your worth as a student/person!! Good luck, but don’t take any rejections to heart. You’ll all do great things no matter which college you end up at

@newuser1234 just wondering what does it mean a likely letter. Also, I just got rejected from wash u and northwestern and am kind of freaking out haha
LL: It means that they are giving you advance notice that you will be accepted
It’s essentially just a letter telling you that you’re “likely” to get in. They only send out a few hundred & from my understanding, it essentially means you’re at the top of the applicant pool and will be admitted. No worries if you didn’t get one though!! I didn’t get one from any of the other schools I applied to. Same here about the rejection haha, we will be okay though! Good luck!

Just curious: what are you all’s safety schools?
Does anyone know when decisions will come out? Is there a GroupMe for Brown RD applicants?
My original safety was UMass, but I now have that on top of UVa, Northeastern, and Williams, so I’m pretty relaxed going into the next couple weeks knowing I have these amazing options!
My safety schools were UCD, UCSC, UCB, and UCLA. Got into all of them so far (still waiting on UCB though).

I’m a deferred ED applicant. And… I was also stressed trying to find “hints” whether I’d been accepted/deferred/rejected through brown’s applicant portal.
There were some so-called “glitches” where some students’ decisions were made apparent (a photo-id box appeared; he got accepted). Some speculated that one is deferred if the supplement box does not disappear (my supplement box did not disappear and I got a deferral; but my box also DID disappear at some point during December so… yeah). Some tried to speculate one’s outcome by trying to log-in to different Brown websites with his/her self-service account…
But in the end, every method to speculate one’s results seemed to be useless and only increased the overall stress for the process. The “glitches” were random and students who had access to “meal plans” were those who had attended Brown’s summer program.
So I think it would be best to just chill and wait until Brown officially releases the results
