Rejected… Super sad but what can ya do! Also I heard from a friend who also applied that Brown’s RD acceptance rate this year was 6.5%, so that provides a little bit of comfort lol!
Article posted at Brown Daily Herald: “The regular decision acceptance rate was 6.5 percent, setting a record-low 8.3 percent acceptance rate for the class of 2021. The previous record of 8.5 percent was set for the Class of 2019. The students accepted regular decision join the 695 students accepted through early decision. Of those deferred from early decision, 5.4 percent were admitted regular decision.”
This means that a ton of extraordinary applicants did not get admitted. They just don’t have room for all the applicants that clearly would excel at Brown.

Hmm, I’ve been trying to log into the portal for the past 30 minutes but no luck. There are no errors or anything when I click “Continue”; it just reloads the page. Anyone else have this issue?
@namticity01 I was having the same issue. I called the help desk and they told me to type selfservice.brown.edu manually into a new browser. It worked for me.
UPDATE: Now it is giving me an “Authentication Required” error page.

Back in December all I could ever see was me going to Brown. And then I got deferred and was utterly, utterly crushed. Today, I found out I got into Brown, AND Dartmouth AND Cornell and could honestly see myself at any one of them. To any applicants next year who apply to Brown ED or anywhere ED, if you get deferred, know that your life will go on without this one college. And who knows? You might just get in during the RD round!
I’ve been accepted and I could not be happier! During the admissions process, I essentially assumed that Brown would be a rejection so that I wouldn’t be heartbroken when decisions came out. I got rejected from the University of Pennsylvania, one I thought I had a chance at. The one thing I’ve learned about the Ivies is that you can never really tell whether or not you have a chance. Congratulations to everyone who got in!

About 1000 on waitlist. It varies a LOT how many come off the waitlist each year. For Class of 2019, it was 196. The year before that, it was 42. The year before that, it was just 2 students. Year before that, zero students off waitlist. I don’t see numbers for class of 2021.
Seems like it makes sense to accept spot on the waitlist but then focus on any acceptances and pick a favorite.

Same issue here. A page saying “Authentication Failed; perhaps you mistyped your username or password” comes up. And when I enter the username and password, I get a message saying “Authentication Failed; perhaps you mistyped your username or password.” After typing it in about 10 times, I am pretty sure I didn’t mistype anything. 
I also tried logging in on a different PC, with the same result.
When I just tried logging again, I now got this new message:

So, I think it’s fair to say that the problem is Brown’s.
@oxyalum - I had same issues and I was able to access from smart phone.
