****Brown University Class of 2021 Regular Decision Thread****

Rejected. Congrats to everyone!

Anyone know how many got in from the waitlist last year? Can’t seem to find this

D waitlisted. Accepted at Columbia, Yale, and Penn.

Accepted!!! So shocked

Edit: does anyone know if Brown matches financial aid packages? They want 16k from us and we can’t do that and Pomona matched our FAFSA EFC (less than 3k) so I don’t understand :frowning:

Accepted!! Also wondering about matching financial aid ^^^

I’m so shocked & excited. For future years’ reference: I did not have anything in my portal related to placement etc. beforehand (so I was convinced I was going to be rejected), and my notification time was 5:30 (but my decision was out at 5:00).

Accepted at Brown and Dartmouth. Waitlisted at Penn and Columbia.

@latinvibes yes, they should since Pomona has the same need based financial aid policy as them- 100% of need met, no merit aid, and no loans for low income students. Reach out to them and show them your Pomona FA as well as Pomona’s FA policies.

Congratulations - Three excellent schools but very different. DD chose between Brown and Dartmouth (decided Williams was too small for her). Encourage you to visit all three and talk to students to see which is the best fit for you. My DD chose Dartmouth as overall she felt more in tune with the students and college. Good Luck and congratulations.

guys is brown good for goldman sachs

@nostalgicwisdom Do you know if they match WashU financial aid?

If it’s merit aid, no, they won’t match it.

If it’s need based aid, they’ll consider it. WashU, like Brown, meets 100% of demonstrated need, so their need based aid packages should be comparable.

To those of you who were accepted, have your loans shows up on your financial aid page? I see my Brown Scholarship and federal grants, but no federal loans whatsoever. Will those show up later, do they not show up there, or am I not being offered any loans?

@Justin2017

Brown’s financial aid aims to not include any loans at all. Is the package not enough for your family? If so, contact the financial aid office and see if you can get a little more.

When is PLME admitted students day?

I got a loan and it’s right on the same page as my scholarship for financial aid
