Brown University Official ED Release Date

Let’s try to keep this at the top. So when someone finds out, they can update it on here accordingly… Shouldn’t they update it on their website next week or something? Just a rumor I heard…

Let’s all hope its the 12th!!!

Class of '10: 12th
Class of '11: 14th
Class of '12: ??? (hopefully 12th)

Btw, under the track your application status under application data or w.e. it has decision and next to it, it says something like decision is not yet available. When they post decisions, will all it have will be written Accepted/Deferred/Rejected? Like is that it…One of those 3 words. Or will there be a link you click on and itll open a copy of the letter which you then read to find out if you were accepted/deferred/rejected? Could any1 answer that plz?

If I remember correctly for my son (and I wouldn't swear to my memory), it is a link and then either the acceptance, deferral or rejection letter comes up.

i cant believe that columbia gets to hear like on the 7th or 8th, while we have to wait possibly another week. bummer.... wouldn't it be so bamf if we heard on the 10th? dammm, i think im gonna call the admissions office tommorrow to find out.....

You need to learn the virtue of patience. Whenever you post on hear it sounds as if you are giving yourself an aneurysm.

Last year it was as AudiB4 describes - you click on the link and your letter displays (accept, reject, or defer).

Daveb, you are so funny :D

Bamf is a noun not an adjective

This thread should be some help:

I thought the official ED release date was "no later than December 15th"?

wolfman, you took the words out of my mouth.

And I can't believe I wrote "hear" instead of "here."

onegoodgirl, that's for decisions being put in the mail.

daveb i dont think u should be so rude....ur the one who spends half ur life on here replying to every post...plz dont be so judgemental next time, i sincerely only wish the best of luck for you and every other person who is applying, and im sure ur just as anxious as i am to find out....

Relax, and don't take it so personally. It was advice. If you keep stressing about it you are going to tear yourself up. It has nothing to do with being judgmental. I was pointing out a valid observation. Would you like for me to collect your posts that triggered the comment?

Deep breaths.

It takes five minutes of my day to reply to these threads. You caution me about being judgmental, and yet you make such a statement? Look at yourself before throwing stones, good sir.

okay point proven daveb. My posts are just done in an excited manner to catch people's attention in order to get answers. They are just lingering questions left in my head about my app. I mean i'm ready to accept the 3 possibilities that will occur regarding my decision. I'm actually quite composed and calm, contrary to how my posts suggest. I just figured if I seemed super anxious, i'd get an answer super fast. I hope that clears up any confusion regarding my frantic behavior. And i do apologize for hurling verbal stones.

Yours Sincerely,
Glycerine19

you signed that glycerine19. oooooh how mysterious. I think everyone's nervous/anxious because when it comes down to it, the decisions have probably been made (or nearly so) and there is nothing an applicant can do but wait.. that's all it's been since the click of the Submit button and this is hard to grapple with

haha yeahh agreed

Actually, I know for a fact that they are PLANNING on releasing the decisions on the 13th at 5:00 PM. I heard from someone in the ACAP, who heard from an admissions officer, so hopefully it will be pretty accurate. Then again, if things don't go as planned, it may be earlier or later.

Hmmm... Interesting, though I'll take it with a grain of salt. It is hearsay, after all.

Actually, they just changed it on their admissions page to the 13th at 5:00 PM, so it's official.

Ah, there's something I can rely on. 10 days, oh boy.

Wow, 10 days :^O
