Which is better: School of Foreign Service at Georgetown, or Watson Institute at Brown?
I’m thinking I’d concentrate in International Economy at Georgetown and double major in Economics and International Relations at Brown.

I think it depends on what you want to do. The school of Foreign Service is pretty prestigious, but I don’t know much about it, and you should post in Georgetown forum also. Are you a HS junior or senior? I thought that SFS at GT requires a separate acceptance, but I could be wrong from few yrs back when my student was looking at GT.
Brown’s IR major is going through a lot of turmoil this year. You should look closely at the newest outline of the requirements for the major. They have added a narrower course program and added additional numbers of courses (as of about 3 weeks ago), making it much harder to double major in IR and another major. (Might still be possible with an overlapping discipline like Econ, but you would need to check carefully. Also the head of the program just resigned, and they have been through a lot of Chairs. I get the impression the students are feeling a bit “put out” to say the least. (so much for the freedom of the Open Curriculum!)
Look at articles in the Brown Herald re this.

yeah, im a senior. ive already gotten in and visited both and i love both. thanks for your help!
