I emailed the admissions office earlier today and finally got a prompt reply from the admissions office, and this is all that the email said. All I can infer is that they’re still going to use the waitlist, but we’ll just have to wait it out.
All I want to know is, how will we be contacted?? I live thousands of miles away from Rhode Island, what happens if the mail gets lost in the way? Isn’t there another way we can find out results including rejections?? Can internationally accepted students say something about this??? Please???
I emailed them regarding this and was told that the decision letters for international students will be sent via FedEX
@uafifa13 thanks for the answer, but thinking this is a life changing issue… what happens if the mail gets lost on the way? How on earth would we know?? We are in the 21st century, I know the Ivy’s like their old traditions, but still?
@BrKmNk LOL. True, but I think FedEX is reliable. But, I don’t understand why they can’t just send an email too. Any idea if an international student got off the waitlist yet?
@uafifa13 I have no clue. I mean i’ve read every single word of this and past year’s forum and haven’t seen a single international student state that they have been accepted. So we remain clueless until god knows when…
@BrKmNk @uafifa13 I’m an international student applying from India, and if I recall right, there was an admit from India for the class of 2019 who was sent an email saying that he’ll be receiving a packet in the mail. But I’m still not sure about us…
Got an email like half an hour ago saying I got in and that the packet’s in the mail! A little sketched out because they said decisions were only coming in the mail but it seems to be real. Domestic student from northern virginia!

Accepted off of the waitlist around 11:30 today! I was so surprised since I never even sent in a letter of continued interest. I have till June 2nd to decide. Now I have to decide between Brown and Cornell for CS. A very tough decision! @lighthouse1a1 I’m from Northern Virginia as well!

Yoooo! I got in off of the wait list Friday! Just checked my email today! Idk if I should go tho. I want to study CS and am torn between GT and Brown. Can anyone help me? I am planning to visit on Thursday to decide by Friday.

Maybe they are releasing them by region over the weekend?
