I got the notice via email.
It’s so weird we’re all from NoVA!
Per US News (for what that’s worth), Georgia Tech #9, Brown #20. Good luck with your decision!
At this point, I’m just trying to resign myself to a rejection letter.
@PinkQuetzal9 do you know when they get mailed?
@ScaredofSchool No, but probably at the beginning of July.
@SeekingWisdom @rizkybusinesssssss Brown undergrad CS is actually top notch. I was a bit fazed by the rankings at first too, but someone made clear to me that those are graduate school rankings and not reflective of undergrad education and opportunities. Browns grad ranking isn’t as high because their grad CS program is pretty small and doesn’t produce as much research. Trust me, this is coming from someone who is going to be taking Brown over Cornell CS (#6 in USNWR)
Also, an interesting side note: someone else from my high school was accepted to Brown last Friday as well. A reminder that I live in northern VA so the possibility of results coming out by region is intriguing to say the least.
@Y2JRedskins Not regional - friend of my son in New England got off the list this past Friday as well.
If we haven’t heard anything yet shall this be understood as a rejection? From previous threads most decisions were made in May…
I haven’t been on for a few days here… congrats to everyone that recently made it in. I have an unofficial theory that every Friday they send out more acceptations to students. No idea if this involves international students or not. But you put the dots, that’s what got…
Can at least one international person who has been accepted from the waitlist say something? Is it only American students that are accepted for now?
@BrKmNk I concur with your theory. Now that we’re into the first week of June, I’m hoping that we-international students-might perhaps receive some notification about decisions. I’m just speculating though.
Is there anyone out there that has received a waitlist offer recently but turned it down?
@Hamshank let’s see if the theory is right… around 11.30 ET people supposedly should be getting new acceptances.
Did anyone hear anything today?
@scoutyboy nope
I’m an international student and haven’t heard anything from Brown. When I open the portal it just says that the admission decision is not available…keeping my fingers crossed here
To the international students. Have you guys accepted the offer from elsewhere? If, so. Have you already applied for visa using that I20?
@uafifa13 lmao I accepted Sorbonne / UPMC medicine… it ain’t even the same country… that’s why I’m even more in a dilemma bcuz of all the different procedures.
@uafifa13 I didn’t get accepted anywhere in the US, only waitlists. I’m from the U.K. so I have ‘firmed’ Durham University as my top choice, and ‘insured’ UCL as a back up incase I don’t get the grades for Durham as it’s a conditional offer of A*AA in my a-levels.
Just been released from Tufts’ Waitlist. Been looking at other Ivy/ Elite waitlist threads and it seems the process is coming to an end with many people being released from the waitlist. Seems like this dream is slowly but surely dwindling away…
