Brown's fin aid for internationals

How is Brown in giving fin aid to internationals? Is it very stingy(stingier than Upenn) or slightly generous?

So if I am asking for a good amt of financial aid, which becomes practically more tougher to get into: Brown or Yale?

I am planning to give a shot at engineering. any idea how is the engineering division at brown?

thnx

Are you asking about the aid packages or about the difficulty of getting an aid package at all as an international student?

In Brown's website they say that if you get accepted, they will make sure you can attend; so they would give all the financial aid you need. But they are not need-blind so the challenge is to get in. I'm sorry I can't help you with your other questions by now.

i am asking about the difficulty of getting an aid package as an international student.

its a common fact that brown is slightly less competitive than HYMP. but if im asking for quite a good amt of aid, does it get practically more tougher to get into brown than HYMP?

When you apply as an international student, you indicate whether you want to apply for financial aid or not. They then effectively sort these applicants into two pools, and the pool with international financial aid applicants is by far the most competative - the amount of spots are very few, probably less than 50, though I have seen no actual numbers for Brown.

So what will be harder, compared to Harvard, Yale and Princeton? It is hard to tell - they are normally harder to get in to, but you compete within a much more selective applicant pool at Brown.
