waitlisted? :’(

IN! when do we hear about financial aid? hearing about money is like a second round of decisions for me :/

I got mine and I’m waitlisted. That is okay with me.

I got waitlisted and I am a little upset, but once again, we will all get in somewhere great.

@ctodd152, did you get in?

Wait listed.

why so many waitlists this round?

I’m surprised at how many people are on the WL.

it is surprising, now how many students from the waitlisted applicant pool do they select?

Waitlisted too. Weird. But that’s okay because I wasn’t planning on going to Bryn Mawr, anyway.

I got in! On an Anthropology major :)

However, still not completely sure if I’m going; I’m waiting to hear from a few other places :)

I would think that they must be accepting some waitlisters if there are so many of us.

I am the only rejected till now? Hahaha.

would any admits like to post their stats?

or anybody actually? haha

In 2008, Bryn Mawr offered a spot on the wait list to 246 students.

174 of those 246 students agreed to accept a spot on the wait list.

Last chance…

7 of those 174 were eventually offered admission.

According to the Common Dataset, these are the wait list numbers for last year:

Number of qualified applicants offered a placed on waiting list - 645
Number accepting a place on the waiting list - 352
Number of wait-listed students admitted - 7

For more statistics like this their Common Dataset can be found here: http://www.brynmawr.edu/institutionalresearch/documents/CDS_2011-2012.pdf

Keep your heads up ladies!

ctodd-- I got in with a GPA of ~4.0 weighted (out of 5.0) and a 2230 SAT (800 reading, 630 math, 800 writing). My Common App essay was decent (about finding my voice at an Amnesty International protest) and I thought my Why Bryn Mawr was generic at best. One of my teacher recs was stellar and the other was good but forgettable.
My SATIIs were a 740 US History and a 780 Lit. My senior course load is AP Enviro, AP Lit, AP Spanish, AP Psych, AP Euro, CP Trig, and self studying AP Comp Gov. Hope that helped :)

Waitlisted with a 4.3 W GPA and a 2120 SAT :(.

I wonder why didn’t they just reject applicants instead of wait-listing half the applicant pool!

thanks for that. I am wait-listed with a 2140, (700 cr, 680 math, 760 writing), 4.0+ gpa, valedictorian, good essays, great recs, 680 and 690 sat IIs in chem and history respectively, and many AP classes/vigorous courses. I just really thought I would get in and would’ve really loved to have been able to go to Bryn Mawr or Haverford
