Hi everyone
One thing out of curious. Which schools in big universities (like NYU or maybe BC?) is Bryn Mawr being equal with. For instance, Bryn Mawr is like “XXX” as big universities, what could that “XXX” be? Consider from ranking, academic and student life, any threads will be welcomed!
I think Bryn Mawr is not like big universities because it is not a big university. As far as rankings and acceptance rates, that can be found with an easy google search. I believe Bryn Mawr is ranked by Forbes #65, and any of the top 100 schools are generally known as “good schools”. My daughter who is going to be a senior this year is considering Bryn Mawr. My concern is not with the academics, which I know are fine, but with the women only aspect. I am not sure she would like this, but she thinks it will be fine. Does anyone have any opinions on this?
@cara2kauf Bryn Mawr is extremely close to Haverford and also pretty close to Swarthmore and U Penn, all of which have plenty of boys. I wouldn’t be concerned, especially if your daughter isn’t.
Thank you. I suppose she will make the right choice. I have twins already in college and they did.
