I have never seen Wellesley so I cannot make a comparison, but I wouldn't be surprised if their campus was larger than ours - they have twice as many students after all. I wouldn't call Bryn Mawr secluded but it is located in a residential area, so there is not a lot to do in the immediate neighborhood. The college tries to keep us entertained on weekends by screening movies and organizing trips off campus. It is very easy to expand your social options by utilizing the Tri-Co or hopping on a train to Philly. Or make friends with someone with a car :-)

superwoman, I am afraid I have not heard of Girls Inc. But I googled it and their headquarter seems to be at 1315 Walnut Street in Philly. That's close to the University of Pennsylvania and you can get their with the R-100/MFL line, just like students who take classes at Penn.

Statistically, only 38% of the student body identified themselves as Caucasian on their applications. Another 32% did not report their race at all. That means that at least 30% of the student body is compromised of "minorities" and probably even more than that. The college tries to recruit a good number of minority students and the Multicultural Office does a good job at promoting diversity issues on campus.
