Does anyone have experience with this program? My D thinks it looks interesting. It is a three week program with a fourth week college search session where the participants examine their interests and are shown how to find colleges that match. I would love your comments on this. D (a shy junior) would be going across the country for the first time to attend this program.

I did WFC in the summer of 2000, and had a wonderful experience. At least when I went, it was a very good introduction to writing at the college level as well as the college admission process in general (they didn't have the extra college admission week then, so I can't help you there). I ended up attending BMC, and my good WFC experience was a large part of my decision.
Oh, and I came from California, traveling cross-country alone for the first time.

D of good friends of ours did that program -- and loved it. Learned a great deal, in fact said something to the effect that she got more from the Bryn Mawr program than from 4 years of English at her elite private. This is a girl whose parents come from the mid-west, and who had spent her whole life in Colorado -- exposure to the northeast was very good for her, very unique. She's now at Vassar, btw, in no small measure due to her experience at Bryn Mawr.
