BS College Matriculation "Sticky"

<p>I find it curious that there is no "sticky" for listing the college matriculation data of our BS students and have considered starting it, but keep thinking that I must be missing something if our more august posters have not already done this. I realize that these prep forums focus on getting into prep schools, but it seems logical and relevant to me that we would also be interested in our kids' outcomes. I know that many posters seem to leave the board soon after admissions decisions or first-year issues are addressed, but many here have put multiple kids through BS and some of the kids do come back to post during their journeys, and who can know how many others just lurk as silent students?</p>

<p>In any case, is anyone other than me interested in trying this, especially as the BS seniors are getting their EA news?</p>

<p>I'm thinking the format would look something like the "Official List of BS Acceptances <year>" thread:</year></p>

<p><poster>: BS: <your prep="" here="" entry="" grade=""> * Accepted: * Waitlisted/Deferred: * Rejected: * Attending:</your></poster></p>

<p>For all decisions, it might be helpful to list EA/ED/RD status as well and anything else you can think of that would be useful to track. Students or parents could supply the info.</p>

<p>I understand there might not be enough of a population still hanging around to make this useful, but whatever we scare up might help to dispel some myths or it might just provide some interesting fodder for more CC fomenting -- and that's always fun, right?</p>

<p>Because I don't see where this has been done, I'm sure I'm missing something obvious like "once the kids leave BS, they move on to the college forum and post results there", but that buries BS data in with the general population, and I'm interested in seeing which colleges our kids are choosing.</p>

<p>Any takers? Anyone who has actually been through this process and understands it better than I currently do want to take a stab at setting it up or explain why it's a bad idea?</p>

<p>Dear ChoatieMom: I would love to share my hard-earned wisdom, but am afraid that to do so would be sharing names of institutions that would allow my D to be identified. Naming a prep school is not nearly as revealing as naming a prep school in combination with a college. </p>

<p>You’re right; it would be a great thread. If others feel more daring I will love reading it.</p>
