***BS/MD Interview Notification for Class of 2012***

^^
The regular route (going to UG and applying to med school) is easier. So do get discouraged. I know people who did not even get interviews at HPME, but ended up ant NU med school after going through the regular route.

theworriedguy, don’t worry about it. I know someone who got interviews for some of the more competitive programs (BU, Miami, Northwestern, PSU/Jeff,…) with a 2230 so your score is not bad. Make sure you have a solid amount of med experience (research is a helpful one) and you should have some hope. 2220 is certainly solid for programs like Drexel’s and others but try to get those med experiences because that would help pull you through.

I got interviews with a lower SAT score than yours. One of the programs I got an interview at interviews ~5% of the applicants so scores are NOT everything. And no, I’m not an URM nor do I have any hooks etc.

I guess we’re all waiting now…

I just got a TCNJ interview…
I assumed I was rejected until now but I guess not. I have already done an NJMS interview with a different NJ program.

Also, to correct my previous post, Brown decisions are should be released March 29th (not 27th). I saw the incorrect date here: http://admissiondecision.brown.edu/faq.html</a> but I think that’s an error on Brown’s part because Ivy day is march 29th this year…

OMG, I JUST got into Siena/Albany’s 8 year medical program!! I can literally not stop smiling right now. Good Luck to everyone else!!!

When will the RPI/AMC acceptances be notified ?

I’m not sure; I knew decisions for Siena would be coming out around now since I found a thread on here from last year of people getting their acceptance at the end of February. So, you might want to look at old RPI threads and see. :)

AMC decisions started coming out at the end of the first week of March last year. However, most applicants, will receive a ‘decision still pending’ type email at this point in time.

Accepted to Siena/AMC on Saturday! I’m so so so excited :)

zilly101 and volleyball1216,

Could you please post your stats?

Does anyone know whether Rutgers/University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey BA/MD invites/interviews have been completed or still going on?

I know this is a BS/MD thread, but I got notification from Pitzer and Western University’s 7-year D.O. program tonight! yeah, yeah, D.O. might not be as prestigious as M.D. but they’re just as successful and have a different approach to ordinary medicine. With our healthcare nowadays, maybe it’s time we had some sort of change and lean more towards preventative care. Anyway, they only select a maximum of 6 students, but does anyone know how many they interview?

Just received a email notification, got accepted into Univ of Cincinnati College of Medicine dual admissions program.

Laloooji, Rutgers phone interview has been completed by mid February. NJMS completed sending notification to Rutgers recommended and NJMS selected candidates for interview. I beleive that NJMS interview will continue until mid March.

Thanks, Santos. That is what I guessed but it is interesting that there is no notification of rejection whereas in every other program there is either an email or postal mail with an acceptance/rejection.

please post your stats

My D also got accepted at Univ of Cincinnati. E-mail notification. Has time till May 1. But it is a 8 year program.

Accepted to St. Bonaventure/George Washington today! :)

Received the medical school interview invitation for UIC GPPA today.
