Yeah, I would rather have a straight out rejection rather than wait with that little hope.

haha i agree with you guys. i’d rather have a formal rejection letter.

Well thats just splendid of UAB, isn’t it? Anybody know about University of South Alabama?

Is that true about UAB? If so, that’s really rude. Students work to pull together the application materials, write an essay and get references to the school and they can’t take the time to send out a letter updating them about their status? Not terribly impressive.

I’m going to hold out a few days to make a verdict that all emails are done, but I know several people from last year who didn’t even know of their application status AFTER the final 10 were selected, when they just deduced that they couldn’t have made it. UAB’s entire undergraduate technical system is extremely inefficient and disorganized anyway (it has been for 30 years according to my parents). For instance, I applied in September and it took a few emails and a phone call to get my file put together all the way in November (all my materials had been stored under several applicant files with the exact same information, and the system wouldn’t even let me log into the myUAB account I’ve had for 2 years because of that). Maybe this year will be different, but I really doubt it. I guess they may think it’s not worth the effort of notifying people, possibly losing a few emails along the way, then getting a swarm of emails asking about application status when something happens.

@bluesky2792 sorry, this might seem like a stupid question, but is the uab interview jan. 24th-25th or feb?

^It’s always late January

I’ll call UAB tomorrow and ask them what’s up

@sanguinee yes that’s a great idea! could you possibly let us know what uab says?

What are everyone’s interview dates for boston university?

@iwannabebrown: when did Boston let you know about interviews? They screwed up some of my application ie lost some of it and then magically found it when I called them two days ago haha

Yes, I will post what I hear on here.

@sjshah I found out about Dec. 20ish. I’m sorry to hear that!

I got an email on Friday too from emsap.

@iwannabebrown, it is jan 24-25. Haha should’ve clarified that, my bad.

Well 3 down…

Retro22’s post shocked me…my sat score was 2170 and I did not send any subject tests. (I don’t think…I forgot) yet I was still offered an interview for the Siena-amc program.
I guess all bs md programs are pretty competitive and selective…

Well I called UAB today morning and no one picked up… they’re admissions options really do suck. I left a message anyways. I’ll update if I get in touch with anyone

Congrats rldmsdl12! Are you from New York? May be that makes a difference for Siena.

I had very good essays for Siena and lots of community service. May be they were looking for something else.

I’m really surprised you were rejected retro… I think most of the programs this year were looking for something else than what they usually look for.
