@SkeezeyJ I was pretty sure I’d get an interview for the EMPSAP program at UAB, too. I’m not really sure what they were looking for. I have stats a lot like yours (I did a lot of volunteering at the hospital and research internships), but still I’m really confused. I know some people who are in the program now and who have been interviewed and having seen them, I thought getting the interview would be pretty easy. This was supposed to be my safety and now I’m really worried about all the other colleges I applied to. Having said that, I realize they were probably looking for one thing in particularly and I just didn’t have that. I wonder what that was…

I got forwarded for both Drexel and Villanova to Drexel Med.

Will drexel do two interviews or only one.

I heard that drexel has one interview, but i have also heard that drexel/drexel is a separate day than the day for all the other undergrad affiliates.

This is crazy, you guys with those awesome stats are getting turned down by UAB! And i always thought EMSAP pretty much a “numbers” program…weird!

Has anyone gotten a medical school interview with NJIT/NJMS? I had my Honors College interview with NJIT a while ago, but haven’t heard back from the medical school…

Also, has anyone heard anything from Rutgers or TCNJ about their respective med programs?

Very very surprised to have been offered an interview for Siena/AMC. though, I was accepted ED so I won’t be able to pursue it. (being accepted ED was also a surprise) (in case anyone is wondering, 2070 SAT, 30 ACT, 4.3 GPA. Lots of volunteering/good essays)

I wish all of you luck, I’m really hoping for you!

Why wont you be able to pursue it???

@theking101, I also had my NJIT Honors interview but haven’t heard anything from the med school yet.

@butterfli123 I’m legally bound to attend my early decision school, William and Mary (and honestly very happy to attend it )
I withdrew my application from every other school, but they must not have received notice in time. I hope they can give the interview offer to another student

@soccer, where did you do ED?

@butterfli, he can’t pursue it because he committed ED to another school already.

@DxSnake, when did Drexel/Drexel notify you? I’ve only heard from Villanova/Drexel…

oh sorry, i interpreted that as ED to sienna :P

@Sanguinee: I got the Drexel/Drexel notification today through e-mail.

Congrats! Another notification I didn’t get lol

@theking101 yeah i had my honors college interview back in november but i still havent heard from NJMS or SGU…i just know they forwarded my application
and what do you mean you got a drexel/drexel notification? for the interview?

@dreambig, how do you know NJIT forwarded your application? did you get any mail? Was it forwarded for NJMS or SGU?

I got the drexel email saying they have forwarded my application to the medical school. Medical school will decide who to interview by end of January.

@retro22 after my interview the lady at the desk said that i could call after a week and ask about my application status. and when i called the lady said she forwarded the application to NJMS first and, if i didnt get in and i wanted to, i could forward it to SGU later

so i’d call the honors college!

@dreambig, this is from last year’s thread…“if you were invited to NJIT for an interview and didn’t fail the interview, you were automatically considered accepted to the Honors college. I think they said that ~60 or so people were called for an interview at the honors college. Then, ~30 of those interviewed have their apps forwarded to the med school with the interviewer rec. Then ~15 of those forwarded get the med school interview which we were notified of in a letter mid-December…”

UAB - they said they mailed out all letters today, including rejections & interview notifications… So you should get a definite answer soon.

@sanguinee I did ED to William and Mary!

good luck everyone!
