No one got a notice or call for NJIT. Either the interviewer told you on the day of the interview or you call them and ask.

I got that Drexel email as well Finally some shard of hope! Nothing from PSU or UMKC yet…

@MedicalBoy I should call the Honors college and ask them if it was?

starlight27, my daughter got her AMC supplement (for RPI) on Dec 21st and she submitted it either 27th or 28th and is waiting to hear from AMC regarding interviews. Last year’s thread said they usually let you know by one week if you are selected for the interview, so I was curious if anyone else has heard from AMC.

Regarding Drexel/Drexel, My daughter applied EA for BS/MD, but her application status was updated few weeks ago stating that she has been given undergrad admission with scholarship but she is not considered for the BS/MD program. So, if your status does not have a reject status and have been accepted to undergrad, you might be still under consideration for MD. Hope this helps!

@Saimedical- Congrats to her for getting the supplement! Good luck. Maybe Albany med is waiting till they recieve more apps from rpi? Like MedicalBoy just received his supplement to AMC today; if they’re forwarding apps to the med school on a rolling basis, Albany might be inclined to wait so that they can do several interviews at once.

@shimmeringaway and frozenshards- congrats!!! :D

@shimmeringaway- I’m sure you’ll hear something soon! Good luck :)

@starlight27 Thanks Gosh, everyone is so encouraging here, I love it so much. My schoolmates all just have a secretive and competitive vibe…but CC is awesome

Congratulations to all of you who got interviews in response to your apps.

I have a situation that perhaps someone here can shed light on. Last afternoon, the Penn State app portal indicated that my D was not going to get invited to interview at the Jefferson College of Medicine, and the status basically read that “we are unable to offer you acceptance to the program of your choice” or something to that effect. Exact wording is escaping me since we did not bother to note it down.

This evening, the same portal says that your application is in “the final stages of review and an admissions decision will be posted here in the coming days.”

This is exactly the same status that was showing late last week before the “reject” status went up yesterday.

Anyone else have the same thing happen to them, and anyone has any ideas on what this all might mean?

I got the Drexel notice today as well regarding the forwarding of my app to the medical committee.
I’m assuming that no news from RPI means bad news? Has everyone gotten their results back from them?

@coquifrog, The same thing has happened in my my S’s PSU/Jefferson application also. After showing the “we are unable to offer …” message in the portal yesterday, the message has reverted to “We are in the final stages of review and an admissions decision will be posted here in the coming days.”

AMC emailed me about an interview today…is RPI/AMC a good program in terms of residents y match? Is the expense worth it? Just wanted to get some other opinions on the program

FrozenShardz, yeah just call and make sure.

Wow. Today really got the ball rolling. I hope everyone the best and good luck to us all.

@shimmeringaway- yeah CC is the best!

@GeorgeIpsum- I don’t think no news is bad news, I think it’s just no news at this point. One person heard two weeks ago whereas 3 people heard today, so maybe they’re doing it in batches? Hopefully we’ll hear soon either way!

@coquifrog and bsmd14- sorry to hear that! could it be that they displayed the first message regarding the med program, and the second message is just to everyone about the ug admissions, now that you’re out of the running for bsmd?

Well said, MedicalBoy. Good luck everyone!

@IBaTiger, congrats! At this stage, do not worry about the cost or how good the program is. These questions are NOT relevant until you are offered a place in the program. Just concentrate on your dream and go to the interview, if invited, with the attitude you want to go there bad and give your all. Only consider those questions if you are offered a place and you have choices. Good luck.

Rejected from Union/AMC… thought I would get an interview but guess not

@IBaTiger, congrats! Good luck with the interview!

My S spoke to Sienna. They said 44 have been invited to interviews at Sienna. Letters were sent in the mail Monday.

@coquifrog Yes, same thing is happening to me. I’m asssuming they’re just reviewing my application for a regular major that isn’t the medical program.

Son just had his SKYPE interview with the professor at Kean for the Kean/Drexel program. Apparently there were nearly 100 applicants and between 30-40 have been selected for the interview. Students who live near NJ will have their in-person interviews towards the end of this week. Kean then ranks the 30-40 students and pass all the names to Drexel for Drexel to pick who gets the Med school interview for the 8 places for the program.

Has anyone applied to the Robert Morris/Drexel program? Son was told by the admissions officer today that Robert Morris forward only four applicants to Drexel (although he was not told how many applicants Robert Morris received for the program).

IMGDAD - is your son part of the Robert Morris list?

@texaspg, yes, Patrick is one of the four. For his Kean’s interview, not surprisingly, he was quizzed on his age. I hope he manage to convince the professor that his young age is not going to be a problem.
