*** BS/MD Interview Notification for Class of 2014***

@upstream

Yes I do.

Does anyone know how many people get a spot in VCU’s GMED program of the 60 that get interviewed?

They said in 2012 they sent 34 acceptances, so I am hoping they do the same this year. If someone could find out how many they interviewed in 2012 that would be great, but i feel like they keep it to 60 interviews every year so it might be the same

rejected from kean/drexel and GW :frowning: what a great day!

Just got a rejection from the Rutgers/NJMS program via snail mail. My list is slowly narrowing down to just a few programs. I wish I would have applied a bit more widely. :/

@actsat2400 and thejerseygirl, sorry about the rejections. My son got his notification today that his application from Muhlenberg for the Muhlenberg/Drexel program has not been forwarded to Drexel for consideration for an interview. His list is also slowly becoming shorter by the day.

same here @thejerseygirl. I qualified in terms of stats but I guess they did not like my essays or extracurriculars…

@IMGDAD, also feeling more anxious as the list gets shorter

Looking at my options, I know I won’t be too disappointed if I don’t make it into any programs. I have a full ride from a great local state school as a backup.

@jereseygirl wow that is a fantastic option!!! Save your money for Med school. Avoid debt if you can

I just don’t want to take the MCAT and have to go through the stress of applying for med school :(

Just got a rejection from the Rutgers/NJMS program via snail mail. :frowning: any ideaif BUSM done with interview ? not heard from them…

What if you realized and learned of the existence of these combined programs in your third year of undergrad? At least you all know you are giving it a shot now.

Just got back from my BU interview. Great location and nice people. Both undergrad and med school interviews weren’t too bad and I recieved a great impression of the school. It’s just too expensive!

Also I got to meet @starlight27 today
Good luck to your Drexel interview tomorrow!

Is there a thread on CC talking about HPME or Rice-Baylor interviews? Like what to expect, how to prep, advice, etc.

@Medicalboy do not judge BU yet. The school is very rich and they give out A LOT of aid. You will be pleasantly surprised. I know a student with a 28 ACT who got 52K per year almost all in grant monies from BU.

Unfortunately if you get into the SMED program at BU, you do not get the financial aid or scholarship. BU only gives scholarship to those going into the four-year undergraduate programs.

Are all GW interview notifications out?

Are all SMED program at BU interview notification out?

@IMGDAD Sorry to hear about your S not making the next round at Muhlenberg. Good luck in his remaining interviews.
My S heard from AMC. Not invited to interview for Union/AMC.
Had his interview today in Ursinus. They are going to forward 15 or 20 out of the 30 semifinalists to Drexel. We are keeping our fingers crossed.
