BS/MD Program

The only reason I would ever attend Tulane is because of their 7 year BS/MD Program. However, I'm getting information that you apply to be in this program halfway through your freshman year of college... Is this true?

If it is, I feel like it's not worth the risk of not getting in, if I can go to schools like Case Western, Cornell, or University of Michigan.

Please just don’t go then. No one wants someone rude enough to come onto a achool’s thread and be insulting. Besides, isn’t it easier to find this yourself on the Tulane website? I found it in 30 seconds. I’ll let you have that learning experience.

FYI, I saw your stats on the chances thread. I am not sure you would even get invited to Tulane’s Honors Program, a requirement for applying to the program you mention. Your GPA and class rank are not up to their usual standards for those programs.

Another FYI. 25-75% SAT scores (CR, M, W):
U Michigan: 590-690, 640-740, 600-700.
Case Western: 590-700, 650-740, 590-690
Cornell: 630-730, 660-770, 630-720
Tulane: 630-720, 630-700, 630-720.

Hmmmmmm. Clearly, Tulane is so inferior. No wonder you want to stay away.

I’m not saying it’s inferior. I want to go into Biomedical Engineering as a minor before Med School, unless I get a BS/MD program.

Case is a much better BME school (6th in the US) and UMich is cheaper since it’s instate.

I think someone just has some issues when it comes to creating insulting tones in text…

Sure, if you are tone-deaf to how your post comes across.

In any case, if you already know this about Case and Michigan, why are you bothering with these posts? You won’t get into the Tulane 7 year program, so good luck at one of these two schools.

Fallen for the kill!

The tulane bs/md program accepts about 10-20 people each year.
