BU CGS---> CAS (Physics)

I was admitted into CGS instead of CAS under a Physics major. BU was one of my top school choices. I intended to go to graduate school in a specified field after undergrad, but am unsure if i should stick with BU. From my research I see that the CGS students are discouraged from working towards a Physics or Astronomy Degree. If they do work towards those degrees it appears they must spend more than 4 years minimum to complete the requirements. I can understand the schools decision because though my testing is high (31 ACT 27Reading, 29English, 33Math, 34Science) my Gpa is weak (3.2).

I am just looking for some advise on whether to try for BU or perhaps chose a different school?

Probably your best bet is to talk to someone at the school and find out if finishing in 4 yrs is possible (from what I have been reading, it is difficult but possible). My D is in the same situation, admitted to CGS instead of CAS, but she wants to major in psychology, so I don’t think it will be a problem for her to finish in 4. You should really make an effort to attend the CGS admitted student day and find out more about it, we are on Apr. 6.
