@lolog123 but why would they lie about it instead of just ignoring the question? That would seem like a stupid thing to do…
@srk2017 actually yes you do because their system only has the traffic of the ED students they have to check last minutes bug. With decision tomorrow there will be a big spike in traffic which could inflict to much stress on the system and one bug could shut down the site for hours until they can find the problem. so I do believe that they tested the housing portal yesterday

@DrCounsel I don’t have access to the housing portal and I agree with both parties BU has this thing to leave Little Easter eggs but they also had a valid reason when I asked and while there are people that have access the page is null it has no real function which leads me too believe that it couldn’t really have any real meaning since you are not really connected to any server it just an HTML board.
@lolog123 Do you know of anyone who was accepted when their housing portal said “access denied” and their applicant link page said “thank you” ?

I just checked my old admissions portal and mine says the following:
Thank you for your application to the Health Science Program in the College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College for the September 2016 semester. We will email you during the application review process if we are missing any required credentials for your application. You will be directed to check this page to see which credentials are not yet received.
Please note that all students are expected to submit senior year grades. If you have not already done so, please arrange for your counselor to send them as soon as they are available.
It is important that we have your current email and mailing address to be able to communicate with you regarding your application status. Please verify your contact information by clicking Applicant Address.

So my daughter is RD and shows as a new student on the housing portal…we are speculating that means she is actually accepted?
The applicant link page is the same as it’s been (thank you for applying, we will contact you if we need anything else, etc.). Not saying a word to her till she actually sees something on the applicant. People are saying decisions will be posted tomorrow at 8 a.m.?
@Hardymum BU admissions made a statement that access to the housing portal means nothing concerning the final decision because they were simply testing it for debugging. Decisions will be rolling throughout tomorrow, starting at 8 am. You will receive an email when your daughter’s decision is available

I found post #583 to be interesting. Wish there was a larger sample! We’re also waiting to see what Bowdoin releases this evening. She was turned down by Northeastern a couple days ago but accepted by a lot of others who had higher acceptance percentages. We’re down to the last few schools now with a couple of smaller LACs having given her really good financial aid, which she’ll need. What a process!
For what it’s worth, I was unable to access the housing portal this morning and am able to now. It’s definitely a result of the updates. I don’t think it will be related to our final decisions.

The portal seems to be updating for everyone. My D is an ED admit hers is updating too.
This Site is a terrible influence! I have a Diff EQ test in less than two hours and can’t do anything but continuously check this forum!
