I read that the yield rate for Trustees is about 33%. So 60 applicants will be offered the Trustees Scholarship.
When do decisions get finalized?
the 18th
That’s when they’re released. I was wondering when they actually make the decisions.
how would we know that…?
And why is it relevant?
^
.__.
But admissions officers should have been done finalizing decisions by now, maybe are just working on super superrrr borderline applicants or choosing between applicants who are veryyy similar.
The 18th is when the decision comes, all we can do is wait!
@akizaka46 Makes sense. They have thousands of applicants to read, so it makes sense that they would pretty much be done two weeks ahead of the decision date.
Does anyone think it is a little weird that I got a call from the BU financial aid department yesterday asking my parents a question about our house (not really relevant)? On the Financial aid tab on the applicant link it said, “Once a decision is made on your application for admission, a decision will be made on your financial aid.” Could this be a good sign? Thoughts?
Rooting for you @yoga99 I hope its good news!!
@yoga99 It’s the standard language after they receive your FAFSA and and CSS/Profile.
@SwimmingDad you don’t think they look at every candidate financial aid info do you? I would imagine they look at the candidates they think look the most promising and see if they can help them. They may determine that they don’t really want to help you all that much ( and your file gets moved to the waitlist or reject pile), but I just don’t see them going thru the piles of likely rejects to figure out financial aid. I could be wrong!!
I think you are right on the money @rightcoaster. It wouldn’t make sense to look at all 30K or however many apps they get. They are only going to look at the apps of those accepted and possibly the waitlist group. With cautious optimism, I do think it is a good sign @yoga99.
Thank you all for your responses! Really hope this is a good sign. Hoping for the best for you all as well!
“…When the admissions office accepts a student, the file gets a rating before going to the financial aid office. That rating, Dr. Pohl says, is based on a holistic read of the application: factors like leadership, talent, motivation and personal character are weighed as well as grades and test scores.”

Hey guys I really need help with something. I recently received acceptance into Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and it was one of my top choices but if I get into BU Questrom I don’t know which one to choose. If people could just give me some insight it would be much appreciated.
