@smauleon Wait until you see the bottom line cost of each school, unless your parents are wealthy.
@TomSrOfBoston Money isn’t much of an issue my parents want me to go where I would thrive but I can’t decide on Questrom or Kelley please help!
When and how will they notify applicants about Kilachand HC?
From previous years’ threads, it is notified along with acceptance. If you are accepted into the Honors College, you have a separate ‘tab’ on your ApplicantLink which you are able to access. If you were not accepted into the Honors College (but you still applied), the tab is not there for you.
Has anyone gotten a notice about financial aid forms (eg. signed copy of W2 forms)?? I got that from a lot of my schools but not BU. I’m not sure if it means anything but I was just curious.
BU might just use IDOC
BU asks you for forms after decisions–in May I think. It says on their financial aid website that they ask for w-2’s after taxes are filed (after Apr 15) so likely you’ll only have to submit those if you’re accepted. I seems like they just trust your FAFSA/CSS for your award and then make adjustments afterward according to the verifications. It looks like they haven’t updated their website since we became allowed to file for aid on 2015 numbers. But if you filled out your FAFSA/CSS right the estimated award you get with your acceptance letter should be correct. See:

I got an emailing requesting for me to send in my parents 2015 tax return about a month ago and it was put on my portal as additional information requested.
@frazzledsenior17 It might just be them confirming self reported information. Some schools will ask you for physical proof of things that you mention if your essays or extracurriculars or other things along those lines.
@sossenior I know they explained they just wanted confirmation and further explanation of something that was on my fafsa I just wanted to give people that information as a reference
@smauleon - My son is a Sophmore at IU Kelley (direct admit OOS) and absolutely loves it - you might consider if you get a direct admit to the Business School vs applying after the first year and possibly not getting in. He went with the direct admit at IU instead of chancing at another well ranked Business School and so far it is working out - he also received very generous merit from IU. The campuses are vastly different - One is suburban and the other in the city - which do you prefer and have you visited both? Good Luck
@smauleon My DD is a sophomore and Trustee scholar at BU and I can’t say enough good things about the school and the amazing opportunities found in the city of Boston that will never be available in Bloomington. BU is also higher ranked , better known internationally and admitted students have higher stats than those at IU ( no offense meant just facts found on both school’s web sites that can be verified). I would chose BU hands down if money is not an issue. Just my humble opinion. GOOD LUCK!
does anyone know when trustee scholars will be notified?
P
umm my university ID number changed… Should I be worried? or does this apply to everyone? I’m an international student so I’m not familiar with the system
What university ID number? I don’t see any on my ApplicantLink (I’m international too)
Our records indicate that you have applied to the College of Engineering for the September 2017 semester. If this information is not correct, or if you would like to change the college or school of application, please call BU Admissions during regular business hours.
That’s all that is there when I login.
(Sorry - I probably sound very stupid now)
Ohh okay wait - the one in the email?
If you’re talking about the ones mentioned in the emails, then mine is same throughout
@rrk515 International student here too… ID is same throughout the emails… Portal isn’t opening at the moment (God knows why)so didn’t check there…
@smauleon @Cubanmom3 I don’t believe in generic rankings (but if you do, USNWR ranks IU’s business school 22nd and Questrom 41st). Based on my DD’s visits, the two schools have very different personalities (she’s applied to both, for non-business programs). There are many good sources for questions to ask yourself. The first hit on Google for "“how to decide between two colleges” is http://www.campusexplorer.com/college-advice-tips/A205B019/After-Acceptance-How-to-Finally-Decide-on-One-School/ . The power of choice is awesome! Enjoy exploring and determining your priorities.
