BU COM vs S.I. Newhouse for Advertising?

The thread and question are pretty self-explanatory, but I might as well elaborate since this isn't exactly my only question. (I apologize in advance for the rambling that may ensue in this post)

Little introduction, I'm a junior in High School, and already freaking (and I mean FREAKING) out about my future and college. I had a 98 average freshman year, 99 in sophomore year, haven't received my first report card yet, but I'm expecting about the same average for this quarter and hope to keep it up.

Extra curricular activities include:
-track, taekwondo, soccer, and Eastern European club freshman year.
-soccer, taekwondo, Eastern European Club, Art Club, and Drama Club sophomore year.
-Soccer, taekwondo, Eastern European Club, Art Club, Drama Club, tutoring, Lit Mag, and volunteer work at an environmental center so far in junior year.

(Taekwondo is every day, involves volunteering to staff at tournaments, and staff classes)

I've been a year ahead in math and Spanish since beginning High School, all Honors sophomore year, all honors and an AP now, and am planning on taking more APs come senior year.

BUT, my major question is which school listed in the title should I aim to get into for a major in advertising (hopefully to be an advertising manager)? And what should I work at to get into that specific school/program? Not to mention the basics like SAT scores, and costs. Absolutely ANY response would be extremely useful...

definitely newhouse over BU COM

Agreed. Syracuse has a better program for Advertising and Marketing majors.

parent of a Newhouse student; actually while Newhouse is terrific for advertising etc, don’t count out BU COM…I guess it would depend on what type of environment you want for college; BU COM still gets alot of recruiters for internships/jobs; lots of hands on learning…

look at both…BU COM is easier for admission
