I was just wondering how does BU Engineering compare to other schools in the area? Lets say if I were to graduate with a BA in Mechanical Engineering how would my job choices look compared to northeastern grads? Does BU have anything that compares to Northeastern’s co-op?

I have looked at both schools and so far I like BU campus a lot better and feel that the overall school would be a better fit, but I am worried that there engineering program is a little weak and might not land the job I am hoping for in the future.

most kids at bu set up their own internships for eng but its really on them. with bu engineering credentials you'll have no problem landing an internship on your own (almost all my friends are engineers and almost all of them have internships). bu's biomedical engineering is 7th in the country and all the engineering programs, including mechanical, are extremely rigorous. the courses you take will really stand out on your resume and prepare you for a ton of possible positions. more bf is mechanical eng and hes been working at a microwave corporation that does military technology and crap and he works with heat transfer.
