I got in to BU ed2 and was able to be switched to undergrad computer engineering, but I am wondering if it is worth it. I also got into Stony Brook University (in state) with award money making tuition extremely cheap. I got into stony brook for computer science and change to BU school of engineering rather than computer science because it has more funding. I got around 20k in aid for BU, which leaves tuition at a hefty price. So is BU computer engineering worth more tuition than Stony brook when they are around the same level, if not worse when it comes to engineering?
If your family can afford the higher BU tuition then you are committed, even if Stony brook is less expensive.
There is no way to prove whether or not you can afford something or not. If you can’t afford to go, tell them you can’t afford to go; however, with regards to potential job prospects, it will serve you better for attending BU.
