What would you do in my situation?

I make 60,000 a year at home, but i'm also trying to get my engineering degree.

I attended Boston University for a year, but now that i'm making 60k, financial aid has decreased significantly. I will pay 42,000 next year and probably full price, 58k for my junior and senior years.

Should I say screw high tuition and go to a state university in NY, that costs about 20k a year?

Will there be that much of a difference when it comes to job opportunity? I'm thinking BU will give me much better job opportunities because of prestige + connections, but it's so dam expensive.

It probably depends on the state school you choose to go to instead.

That’s going to be either Binghamton, Stony Brook or Buffalo.

I don’t see why BU would be worth about $100,000 more than Stony Brook or Buffalo for studying engineering.
