This has probably been asked already, but does anyone know how they send out decisions? Is there an email or do they just update the portal?
@rosebudd21 they will send you an email saying that the decision is available on your portal .
Hi Everyone, has anyone noticed the changes on Applicant Link? I just logged on, and I noticed that the font changed. Then after clicking Application Status, the title on the next page was now Application Credential Status. I don’t remember the word Credential ever being there. The rest of that page was the same with my D’s Thank You message. But when I clicked Financial Aid Status, the top of the page was the same saying everything was received, but under that were listed paragraphs for every possible scenerio of financial aid info. they might need from a candidate, but it’s not explained. It’s all just listed there as if it all applies to my D. Examples: her fafsa indicates she has earned a prior bachelor’s degree ( not so), need verification of dependant status (?), need info relating to the css noncustodial parent profile ( not our situation ). And there is even more.
Anyone who applied for f.a. want to check this out? Anyone want to check if the font changed for them?
Hi @Winky1. I noticed the word “Credential” earlier in the week. I wasn’t sure if it was there before either. Everything else on application status looks the same. The financial aid page looks the same to me. It just lists that the FAFSA and CSS PROFILE have been received.

I think I will call them to confirm everything is ok on their end as far as fafsa and CSS Profile info/documents. There is no cause for concern on our end for any crazy scenerios. I doubt anything is wrong, but I am going to make sure.
wait i have “our records indicate” does that mean I got rejected?
And so begins another 40 pages of speculation regarding the portal messages?
@prepro986 , in the RD round, nothing is definitive as far as Our Records and Thank You messages. Either outcome is possible with either message. I only mentioned it because her message hadn’t changed but other things that I mentioned in my post had changed on the portal.
Very weird, but everything is now back to normal on my D’s Applicant Link. Everything I mentioned earlier is gone, font is back to the original font, etc. Did this happen to anyone else? It does still say Application Credential Status, though, as the heading. No issues under Financial Aid Status now.
Son applied RD to BU. Would love if I could get honest opinion about his chances. He got deferred from Northeaster so I am now worrying about BU.

Looks good to me, but there are no guarantees as you know @bluedog3140 . My D was also deferred from a school EA that was a supposed to be a sure target.
If we applied for scholarships, do we find out the results of those before or on normal decision day?
Thanks. I am very nervous as he has only gotten into his “safety” so far. It must be a tough year, my son and most of his friends (all top of the class) have received deferrals from schools their stats should have easily gotten them acceptances.
I understand. My D is in the same situation with 1 solid safety she is excited about, thankfully.
We did accepted students day at my son’s safety yesterday… he is not all that excited. Hoping and praying for good news from Boston

@WilliamNYC He accepted his EA offer at Northeastern. That was always his number one choice with BU being a close second.
