BU School of Management Courseload

Hey guys I was wondering if I can get some advice from some current BU students. I am going to be studying at the SMG this fall with a concentration in finance. I was wondering what the courseload is like and how much extra free time we have to do sports, hangout, party, etc. I have heard that BU academics are pretty tough and we have a tight schedule with only few gaps of personal time. Is this true?

thats not true at all. i’m in smg and in freshman year(2 years ago), everyone i knew had a social life and free time. personally, i was able to go to the gym many times a week and participate in an intramural volleyball team. i was able to go to parties and see friends on the weekends too. of course, there will be times when you are busy and cannot do anything but this usually only happens around midterms and finals(which are also when projects are usually due).

the key is just time management! i took a day out of the week to do all my homework for the following week but if you work better doing a little each day or doing alot over a few days, do it the way you like. you will often find that you will have not enough time to study since you’ll be having a good time with your friends!
