This is pretty late on, but I hope this still helps some of you. I never went on here because I actually got accepted back in mid-April and sent financial aid information in early-May. I’m a first-time applicant for my sophomore year.

HS stats:
GPA: Weighted it stands at about a 4.3, unweighted I’m guessing it’s at about 3.6-3.8
EC: Captain of varsity cheerleading squad (-_-’ yeah, I know), dance captain of dance ensemble (both VERY time-consuming), chief production editor of literary magazine, member of student gov’t executive board.
ACT: 31 (got 1940 on the SATs, but only submitted ACT score because it’s better)
Honors/Awards: NHS, CSF
Top 5% of class

College stats:
GPA: 3.6
EC: incredibly unimpressive. Coxswain for varsity crew, member of Asian Student Association, member of Gay-Straight Alliance, general committee member of FU Student Association.
Honors/Awards: Dean’s Scholar (GPA 3.5+)
I was also a University Scholar (4-year scholarship) and a member of the Honors Program, but I don’t think I ever mentioned that on my applications. Huh. I probably should’ve.

Financial Aid:
I come from a single parent earning ~$70,000 with an older sibling in a 4-year college (BU, actually. This may or may not have affected my financial aid)
The university grant alone was $37,900. With federal loans/work study, it totaled to just under $40,000. According to my older sister, who is a rising junior in BU, the total tuition for 09-10 is about $56,000. That said, I’m very happy with the finaid I received, since at my old school I was only getting about $27,000 (including a university scholarship. Tiny schools can really not afford much, I guess) for a school whose tuition is now going to exceed Yale’s.

BU will send you an email telling you that your applicant decision is available. The same for financial aid. I don’t remember what the old applicant link looks like, but eventually you will have links to your admission decision, financial aid decision, enrollment deposit, housing info, university orientation, info for new students, and decline enrollment.

Hope this helps. Sorry I didn’t look here sooner!
