BU , UT Austin,USC,Ithaca....

Ok guys , what about ranking these schools as for prestige:
Boston University
Ithaca College
USC
UT Austin
Emerson College
University of Miami
Syracuse University
Upenn
University of Arizona
UW-madison

The major would be communication(tv/radio/film)

BU, Cuse, Emerson and USC are the best there for comm.

The University of Wisconsin has what is considered one the best communication programs in the country. A top 10 Undergraduate and graduate journalism program + one of the most cited Communication departments in the country in scholarly writing. Penn, USC, Northwestern, and Texas are all very strong as well.

UPenn looks out of place on your list. The rest are more or less similar in prestige. Perhaps you are thinking of Penn State?

I really like Boston University and Syracuse, my GPA seems to match both, not sure about SAT. However tuition is too high.

what about ithaca??I thought it was very prestigious!!1

No, Cornell University located in Ithaca, NY is a very prestigious school. Ithaca College is an average liberal arts school.

To some it is prestigious. Many layman have not heard of Cornell and many super elitists find Cornell to be the "public" ivy.

Penn has a great Comm school so it makes sense. Maybe this person wants to apply to some "less prestigious" schools for scholarships? Further, I don't agree with your premise. USC, Texas, Wisconsin, and the comm programs @ BU/Cuse are much more prestigious than schools like Arizona or Miami. Further, if one is studying communications, Syracuse's Newhouse program is better than many ivys.
