BU vs. SCAD vs. UW vs. George Washington for Visual Arts

I just got all my college decisions back and I’ve narrowed it down to these four colleges that I like the best. I got into the schools of visual arts at each of these schools and plan to major in painting and drawing or something else in the studio art realm.
The biggest dilemma for me is deciding between a traditional university and an art school. SCAD seems really great to me because all of the career opportunities that are given to students like SCAD pro and how much they prep u for the industry etc. Although I would like to receive a more well rounded education I’m not sure if traditional universities are as good at networking in creative fields and providing me with internship opportunities and preparing me overall for the creative industries. It also does worry me a little bit that the universities don’t have such a wide variety in the art program like animation, fashion or other stuff that I may want to go into down the line.

Also the order of cheapest to most expensive after the scholarships I got goes:
SCAD
University of Washington
George Washington University
Boston University

If SCAD is you least expensive option and you can afford it, it can be a magical place for the visual arts.

There are liberal arts classes you can take and you could take a class somewhere else one summer.

Their quarter schedule is intense, but they have such a range of courses to choose from. The first couple quarters are some of the basics.

The others offer a more traditional college experience with a major in arts with great museums near by, etc… you may decide by city and campus more than the art dept, but make sure to look at the course selections and ask about career development in the arts.

Have you visited all of them.
