BU vs UCSD for Neurobiology

Hi! Im an international student currently stuck between the two schools mentioned above. here are some pros and cons- any advice is appreciated!

  • i have a 25k presidential scholarship at BU, so my tuition is around 52k, as compared to 62k at UCSD bc no scholarship. does the scholarship hold any weight on my resume for grad school?
  • UCSD is without a doubt ranked higher for neurobiology. UCSD is #11, BU is #45, and is reputed to be great for the biological sciences
  • im not v good with cold, so San Diego wather is defintiely better than weather in Boston for me. but i wont have a car in san diego and the campus is a bit isolated, so ill be kinda confined on campus most of the time, as compared to BU which is super well connected
  • boston has tons of other universities around it, wheras i dont think UCSD does. that either means that i have more opportunities at BU for internships and research, or it means that bc there are so many schools and people, opportunities are a lOT more competitive.
  • BU seems to have a more social and fun atmosphere with rlly good vibes, wheras UCSD seems more academically inclined, but also has pretty chill vibes. though im pretty introverted, i do wanna make a lot of friends and wanna have a good time at uni. any advice on the social life in either of these places is appreciated
  • i wanna do grad immediately after undergrad, so which school will help me do better in grad?
  • the college ive been accepted to in UCSD has just been renovated and moved to a better location, so itll be newer dorms compared to the ones at BU

any advice is appreciated- pls tell me what would you choose and why!
