BU vs. UVM

hey. i got accepted to university of vermont and was just accepted to boston university. I DO NO KNOW WHICH TO CHOOSE. i know bu has better academics, but i thought uvm was also good. please help and give advice

I'll be a freshman at BU. I would certainly chose it over UVM. Only thing is, for some it's extremely expensive. My friend's brother goes to UVM and likes it as far as I know. If you have any specific questions, ask away.

yes, UVM is also good. One of the great things about it is that it is so small, it does not in any way resemble the typical state U and the undergraduate focus is strong. You have a good chance as an undergrauduate to work with full-time professors in the classroom and for independent research. BU is in a fantastic location to go to college, UVM is in an incredible college town. If you are a city person and can afford it, choose BU. The view of mountains and lake from the UVM campus is incomparable, outdoor activities are endless (skiing at Stowe, Bolton Valley, etc., hiking, biking, boating, swimming) so if you are more the outdoors type you might prefer UVM. Of course, the wether is a bit more severe in Burlington than in Boston. UVM also has a great new Campus Center that I imagine will improve the environment on campus quite a bit. For overall academic reputation BU has the edge but overall experience and quality of life is a matter of personal taste. I probably haven't helped much but I guess I'm saying that your really are in a pretty good situation either way.
