<p>Yes, LNM…we will feel that pain for D2. But nursing tuition at Pitt is still less than tuition at D1’s private school, so it’s good. :)</p>
<p>Is it just me, or are the costs just really confusing? I’m going to be a freshman at the J-town campus this fall, and it says $11,286 is the cost… but collegeboard and other sources list it at $11,754… then room and board is confusing too, since apparently it depends on what meal plan you get.</p>
<p>Then there’s the difference in price between different programs… i’m probably going to be majoring in business- but man, if i transfer… $15,722/yr for the CBA at pitt main? I’ll have to decide if it’s worth it then… though I could always commute to main since I only live about 7 miles south of the campus.</p>
<p>Pitt and Penn State are among the 2 most expensive in state public schools for in state residents… it’s ridiculous. Pennsylvania isn’t exactly the richest state either, I just got over $200 taken away from me this year for the PHEAA state grant since PA just passed their budget plan a few weeks ago. </p>
<p>Money money money… I just wish I could get exact numbers when it comes to costs, but it’s been a whole lot of estimating/guess work so far. Oh well, that’s college for you.</p>
<p>Yes, it is pretty expensive even for in-staters, but you do have a choice of some great options and strong programs, both city and rural campuses.</p>
<p>Are you referring to Pitt’s system, or the other state schools (such as Edinboro, California, Indiana, Clarion, Slippery Rock Universities of Pennsylvania) which are on par with the average public in state school in terms of tuition (around 7-8k annually for tuition)</p>
<p>Pitt and Penn State are state-supported, which is a bit different than being in the state system. Your fees can increase the cost too if you are taking lab classes. There are a number of fees, which may explain the difference that you are seeing online.</p>
<p>Also, costs range for both room and food. You can choose from a number of cafeteria plans and the rooms vary a little (I think they vary more sophomore year and there is a premium on a single room).</p>
<p>For Pitt-Johnstown, my grants/scholarships just about cover the cost of tuition. I just have to worry about the room and board (which I already determined to be about $7826 for me, collegeboard was wrong again), along with those other misc. fees which you mentioned…for example, on my account inquiry page: computer/network service fee… facility fee… student activity fee… student health service fee.</p>

but hopefully it should all be worth it in the end.</p>
<p>The fees are kind of a nasty little surprise, but they exist at most colleges. </p>
<p>Take advantage of as many things as possible that are provided through your fees and you will feel better about paying them. At the main campus, city buses are included, which makes it easy for students to get around. The football tickets at the main campus are $25; that must be offset by student activity fees. It will be worth it!</p>

<p>I sent an email from the e-bill page and received a quick response indicating that all accounts had been adjusted. Ours was subsequently changed. I would sent an e-mail to office of financial aid.</p>
<p>Clarification: The scholarship amount was changed on the “student account details” but not on the e-bill.</p>
